hi does anyone know of a place where you can get a id card on the same day i just car't remmber the name of the place

I suspect anywhere issuing an ID card verifying your age would want to take steps to verify your age and not just issue ID cards willy-nilly.

I would be interested about any ID card that is recognised by all establishments.
Two of my kids take their passports out with them to prove there age, as they say other forms of ID wont work in the clubs!
One lost hers when out, cost her loads for the replacment!

For any 'proper' proof of age card I doubt you'll get one sent out the same day as checks need to be carried out to ensure you are who and the age you say you are.

There are other places you can get ID cards for 'novelty' purposes but most half-decent pubs/clubs etc. won't accept them and if you mis-use them you could even end up committing a criminal offence.

I'm not sure if it works or not, but maybe a provisional drivers license?

I work in a friends off licence for a few extra pennies which is part of a large chain. The only proof we accept is either:

1. Proof of age as was posted earlier
2. Driving licence (provisional or full - doesn't matter so long as it has a picture on it)
3. Passport

This seems to be the same in most places.

http://www.citizencard.com/ are supposed to be quite good and are recognised as official proof of age I believe. Though I would think it would be extremely unlikely you'd get anything official on the same day!
