Wierd water taste
Kind of a strange one.
I drink a lot of water and recently my tap water is tasting kind of thick with almost a creamy after taste, which is making me feel sick. I decided to buy some bottled water, which is better but still tastes a bit wierd.
Now the strange thing is i don't get this at work, the water dispenser tastes exactly as it always has done.
Anyone ever heard of this? Ive never had this problem before.
Thanks

That's why I stick to lager. Have you witnessed what fish get up to in water?

Re: Wierd water taste
Water from cooler is often colder than tap, that may have something to do with that still being ok.. May have mild gum infection?

Re: Wierd water taste
Try filling a glass bottle with tap water and leaving it a few hours in the fridge - once it's cooled down, and some of the residual chlorine leached out (if present), it tastes pretty much like bottled water anyway.

Re: Wierd water taste
A few hundred years ago the ale/mead/gin was a lot safer to drink than the water
If bottled water is tasting the same as the tap water then I'd also suggest a slight health problem probably a cold/virus as most of the tasting is done with your nose...

Im thinking i have something too now, works water is beginning to taste dodgy too, never had this happen before so im slightly baffled.
The only thing ive changed is i started eating bananas last week for a few days, but ive stopped now and it's still there.

Re: Wierd water taste
Sounds like a minor infection in your mouth. Is the back of your tongue coated in a creamy substance? If so, it's plaque, and you should get it off with a tongue scraper (from a chemist, or your dentist's receptionist). Use mouthwash every night before bed as well.

Yep, but use Corsodyl or Listerine. The others are literally just a mouth rinse.
