New years resolution anyone?
Well someone was going to ask it!
Got to lose a serious amount of weight this year, but will wait till Monday to start lol. What's your resolution if any?
Just read this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7806776.stm

Re: New years resolution anyone?
I have made one to not make one
Amazing how our channels, particularly the commercial ones, are bombarded with these " Fitness " DVD'S by celebrities, one of whom used to enjoy a tipple in the queen vic!
Turning on the tv this morning there was somebody talking sense imo, a dietician rubbishing the " fad diets and detox diet "
She was claiming that the human body is quite capable of " detoxing " itself.
So I will keep that in mind for the next few hours while this head of mine pounds

Re: New years resolution anyone?
The only weightloss programme worth anything at all is Paul McKenna's "I Can Make You Thin" book. Eat what you want, when you want and still lose weight. I dropped a stone in 3 months with it and WILL work if you follow the system.
Anyway resolutions....to grow up and act like someone in his 30s, to complete a 10k in a respectable time...that's about it really.

Russ, did you combine reading the book with some form of exercise?
Sorry OP for going off topic, initially what people lose is fluid, then they reach the plateau at which point they dont seem to be shifting the weight and then give up.
Years ago, I went on a fitness trip, got to admit I felt great for it, neighbours thought I was dying from an incurable illness, and to achieve that all I did was take up some jogging, did some 10k's, even entered and finished several great north runs.
So I think with anything if you put your mind to it you can do it.

Thats it fella.
But you could have done that without Paul Mckenna.
Good luck with your times Russ, now back on topic I think, sorry OP.

Re: New years resolution anyone?
HHHmmm my new years resolutions would have to be...
Get my divorce sorted
Be a better father to Peter
Get my qualifications sorted so I can get a job
Become a better and nicer person
Well if I can do number 2 I'll be happy anyway

Re: New years resolution anyone?
I'm going to endeavour to go on my airwalker thingy for at least ten minutes a day. Even if not all in one go, as it may take some getting used to again!
Hopefully this shall contribute to the ultimate resolution of 'I need to lose weight!'
