Re: will you be stuffing a bird this christmas
aldi are selling 2 birds in one if you fancy saving time lol
I quite like the idea of the layering. As I used to be a butcher I could get this together easy. Papa be wary of the duck that tends to be very fatty might be an idea to put that central though as it will baste the rest of the meat. Hmmmmmm Idea ideas
The quail and the pigeon are very small birds and once boned there will be hardly any meat on them
You would be better with say partridge duck goose turkey

Why not get a Turkey?
Only two people in my house will be eating it, and we get a meduim sized bird.

Re: will you be stuffing a bird this christmas
I'll be doing a big turkey with stuffing.
I also fill the inside with apples and a lemon to keep it moist and add flavour.

Re: will you be stuffing a bird this christmas
Roast Beef or
Roast Pork or
Roast Chicken with
Roast Potatoes and loads of veggies.
No-one in my house likes turkey and getting them to decide on one of the above will be a nightmare.
The only thing they agree on is the roast spuds and veggies, oh and the gravy.
I'm tempted to tell them they're having chips, eggs n beans.

Re: will you be stuffing a bird this christmas
Already got a medium size (6Kg) turkey in the freezer... Will probabaly stuff it with wild mushrooms...and serve it on a bed of roasted mediteranian vegatables
That'll do the four of us (3 adults and a largish dog who eats more than 3 adults put together...though it says it feeds 10 they must be sparrow sized portions)

We aren't that keen on turkey and even a meduim sized one would be far too big.
A nice rib of beef for us....
