got a call at the door yesterday from 2 sky reps trying to get me to sign up,this has never happened before and even though i told them that i wasnt remotley interested they insisted in coming off with a lot of waffle about how great sky was,that was the clincher for me so i told them politley adios,i have also heard they are canvassing like mad in the bangor and ards area are they feeling the pinch ?.
Services: Virgin for TV, BT for phone and Be* for Broadband.

Sky have always been fairly proactive in selling stuff. It's entirely possible that they are just canvassing people.. Doesn't mean they are in trouble.

Surely if they were in that much trouble the first people to go would be the people who wander around door to door?
I switched to NTL when someone came calling, but I have never had a Sky person round asking me to switch. Saying that, I don have an old white satellite dish that was attached to the house I bought, so maybe they thought I was already sorted.
Also, if more people are staying at home these days and taking advantage of home entertainment rather than eating out or going to pubs/clubs then why not cash in or upsell on existing subscribers.
