Feeling guilty

Why do I always feel guilty if I call in sick at work?

I am pretty sure I have tonsilitus as I am in agony evrytime I swallow.

Been up most of the night as I keep coughing and waking my self up. So painful

Re: Feeling guilty

Because they demonise you for doing so.

Think yourself lucky you're not 18/19 male and working in a place witrh 2 seperate managers.
(Have to call in sick twice, one manager is okay with it, the other will question you and call you in for a meeting afterwards)

Get well soon mate.

Possibly because deep down you know that you really could go to work?

Then you pass on the infection and the entire workforce goes down one after the other..

Now if it was a bad back or wonky knee we could send them to you...

In some cases, I agree but I often have someone in who has been off work for weeks with something relatively trivial

Same at my workplace. Normally just a formality.

Went Doctors. Got a massive throat infection.

Worried now though as I am coughing up blood.

Re: Feeling guilty

I'm the same, no matter how ill i am (always genuinely too ill to work) I end up making stuff up to make it sound worse.
