is this a 'upto' 20% off sale or a genuine 20% everything. and is is just clothes or are TVs down 20%?

I understand their idea of having a sale to try to get money from customers that may have been spent elsewhere or not at all so the idea of the first out of the traps might win.
What i dont understand is what they think they're going to sell for the next 5 weeks leading up to christmas??? its not as if they will be able to save money by keeping the shops shut or laying off staff

Well I saved £42.
The best bargain at Marks today is the mens socks.They have a buy one get another half price offer on mens socks and then you get 20% off on top of that.
