In arctic they have no daylight at all near the northen hemisphere's winter solstice (21st Dec) and in the antarctic they have no daylight near the southern hemisphere's winter solstice (21st June).

Since August is nearest the Southern hemisphere's winter solstice it will be the antarctic that has least daylight hours.

The length of day at the top and bottom of the world will be approximately the same at around the spring/autumn solstice (21st September and March), getting increasing less heading towards the respective winter solstice, and increasingly more heading towards the respective Summer solstice.
