You should have had a note through the door telling you that you had an item for collection and that ususally has the address on, have you tried the royal mail website?

they have a Q&A here which gives you a number to dial... (probably becuase they don't want to have to keep removing entries from the web database as they cull the post offices...)

Moved to 'Lifestyle' because 'postie fails to deliver package' is sadly not headline news these days.

Re: Royal Mail help (mod pls move if in wrong place)

I've had item's held at the sorting office with no card left before - maybe a lazy postman?
Anyway, the RM helpline should tell you your local sorting office - normally only open in the morning though. You can also arrange redelivery online.

Re: Royal Mail help (mod pls move if in wrong place)

my postie has been on the same round for 11 years ,and he is crap , everything i order from ebay ends up at the sorting office ,when he's on holliday or sick i get my post no problem .he will not deliver anything to my nominated neighbour [if i am not in] sometimes i get a card saying to large for letter box and when i pick item up its a small jiffy bag that is obviously not to large .
