Question Ford Galaxy start engine problem with one of the keys

Hi,
Recently i broth second hand Ford Galaxy 1999 year, petrol engine 2000cc.
The owner handed to me 3 keys-one for opening the doors, one Master key for start engine and one for remote unlocking and start the engine. The last mentioned key didn't work due to weak batteries. When i replace the batteries, remote Lock and Unlock system was operating normal, but when I attempt to start the engine did not work. There is system to protect the car against theft and the Master key override it.Now i am caring bunch of keys for the car Is there any thing i can do to use one key only(for remote Lock/Unlock)Normally should work with it but it does not!?

By the sounds of it, he's had 1 or more locks replaced in its life but not the whole set at once

Re: Ford Galaxy start engine problem with one of the keys

They key you replaced the batteries in will probably have to be reprogrammed. Do a quick google search on how to do it. Its usually quite simple and just involves using the different keys and putting them in/removing them at the right times based on a flashing light on the dashboard or something! Sounds complicated but with instructions it should be a doddle.

Re: Ford Galaxy start engine problem with one of the keys

I have done something similar with procedure like you said but still does not work.I think the steps i used are not for my type of key.On the side of the key is "Siemens" logo and i think the product is developed by Siemens.Does some body know how to program this type of immobilizer?
