Sadness
My daughter in law recently requested that my birthday not be announced today and as incog pointed out she was posting under my name, as i was somewhat shellshocked and was gibbering like an idiot.
I have now decided to carry on with the plans that we made before all this happend which is to get dressed up in my kilt and get totally ratted.
As she often said to me that death is also a time for celebration as well as well as mourning, so to any members who live in or about Inverclyde if you see a mad drunken irishman in a kilt singing Flower of Scotland please say hello.
In the meantime i thak all the mebersfor their support in the past and any more i may need in the future.
I will love her forever and always.
Willie.

Re: Sadness
willie I cannot possibly know how you feel at this moment and I hope you give your partner the wake she truly deserves.
Please for her sake will you make sure you are not alone today especially when you do go out and celebrate her life later.
I promise to raise her a toast in her honour later today...and to you as well..
Good luck to you.

Re: Sadness
Good luck Willie it's times like these that can be either a happy celebration of someone's life or a sad mourning, I wish you everything good on your day and many happy returns!

Re: Sadness
Well folks once again i thank you for all your kind words.
And yes coggy i did take your advice and i have never been alone since this nightmare began.
Yesterday was the saddest day of my life yet it was also the most joyous day aswell i was overwhelmed by the number of freinds and relations that came to pay their last respects,so much so that it filled 3 pubs after which tells me that she was a well loved and respected person.
Before the cremation i filled a glass of whisky for my sons and daughter and ther partners and toasted her life and made a promise that not another drop of whisky shall pass my lips.
Willie

Re: Sadness
Well willie that seems a good place to start.I guess that you don't need to be told to take it one day at a time or that time does heal. You have probably heard them too many times recently.
I do know that one day you will wake up and life will seem worthwhile again if only so that you can be a living testimonial to your Jayne.
Good luck to you.
