Car Stereo

Has anyone ever changed a car stereo/ had a car stereo changed in a vauxall? I want to change mine but found in the previous car that it messed up the connections etc. It connects to the middle dash display and the stereo started to come on/off with the key and never saved any settings, radio stations, cd sound settings etc.. Any advice appreciated

Re: Car Stereo

Yeah I put an LG Head Unit and Amp etc in my Corsa its pretty easy, ignore the centre dash bit itll just stay as the clock while the stereo is on, 1 thing to remember is that the permanent battery and accessory wire are switched on Vauxhalls so youll need to make an adaptor to swith them around, your new stereo should come with a wiring loom so just get a Male ISO connector and connect that to the vehicles wiring and wire the tails to the loom remembering to switch the 2 power wires over, the only other thing to worry about is that the plugs etc are fitted to the vauxhalls cage and requries a screw removed and a bit of wiggling to get it out and the plugs can be pulled out from behind.
