Car Tax
Question:
I remember people used to get a disabled badge and could use disabled parking spaces.... if you have a blue tax disc that is classed disabled, does this mean you can use the disabled parking spaces???

Re: Car Tax
I'm pretty sure you apply to the council for a disabled badge. If you have disabled tax it says so on the tax disc instead of saying PLG

Re: Car Tax
Parking spaces are run by the councils like MM has said so it's nothing to do with car tax (disabled or not). Go on the local councils website and they should have how to apply for a blue badge on there

Re: Car Tax
I would like to know as my car is in my name. But my wife is disabled. Can she apply for a free tax disc. Or would I have to transfere the car into wifes name. By the way she cant drive due to haveing one good arm as the other is paralised

The car's status would have to be changed to disabled.
Pretty sure you can do this and get the tax for free if your wife is in receipt of DLA.

if she gets full DLA then she could say that you take her everywhere and go for stuff for her, they will give her a form for the tax, you fill it in and otehrs, then get the blue tax disc.....
I just got mine today, and was asked the question about parking spaces,
will check councils site, thanks everyone.

Why do I keep posting 'smug git' in reply to all your posts in car related threads?
