Was in tesco earlier, this Kid who was in the Queue in front of me firstly lets me go in front ... Ok that's usual but I figured he's going to go off of and get something else or something.

Then he has the cheek to ask me if he can have Ã‚Â£1 off me to get his shopping.
Which seemed to be a large box of matches and something else.

Cheeky little <Removed> Pity there wasn't the usual security guard by the door or i'd have probably said something to him (the guard not the kid)

Edit: I don't know?. They're also kept in the domestic isle where the firelighters and BBQ stuff is at Morrisons.

Ive had people like that ask me in town.

One guy came up to me and asked if I had two pounds fifty to get the bus home!

We get that all the while. The one that really got to me was the bloke who asked if I had a spare smoke. No problem, however he was standing beside his Merc, outside our local newsagents. Basically I told him to go and buy his own

While I was living in Calgary and working downtown, every morning I would watch a well-dressed man help an older man (age differences looked to be father/son) in a wheelchair get out, and park himself in his chair on the streetcorner to beg for money. In the evening, the same well-dressed younger man would come collect the older one. I bet he made a decent amount of money, too -- and people watching is always more entertaining than the lounge at the retirement home, right?

I was torn between being disgusted at what they were doing, to wanting to ask if I could sit next to the old man holding a sign that said 'Me and Grampa are hungry!' and splitting the proceeds!

He probably made more an hour than I did.

When I smoked though, I wouldn't mind giving the odd cigarette away here and there -- but only if you looked old enough to be smoking -- and I certainly never would have done if they'd been driving an expensive car.

I had this happen to me about a month back, walking into the shopping centre after college, in Harlow, as that was where i went to college, some chav, and he really was, had the cheek to ask me if i had Ã‚Â£1.50 on me, I said no i havent, (even though i had) and he had the cheek to tell me that i was lying. In the end i gave up, didnt want any trouble, so i just gave it to him. I know it wasnt the right thing to do, but i didnt want to end up with a punch in the face.
