Body service..
Hello all,
as i am getting older (almost 30) i thought i would treat my body to a bit of a service.
I was wondering can i pay for some expert to take all sorts of tests out on me and give me (hopefully) a clean bill of health, as ive got older hairs have appeared in all sorts of odd places and i have various things that need checking out and id like to know if i had any nasty stuff in me
so anyone know of a company/hostpital that does such a thing and rough idea of costs?

Re: Body service..
Does your work place offer anything. Might be worth asking your GP too. Might be able to get on the NHS, or they might offer a private alternative.

Re: Body service..
Business healthcare dont normally include stuff like this.. Its treatment only.
You can get most stuff on the NHS but why would a Dr waste time and money checking you for conditions you have no symptoms of.
There are quite a few full body scans out there but I dont rate the idea

Agreed. For most people in that age group it's a complete waste of money....

Re: Body service..
Blood pressure and diabetes is almost standard on a visit - You can ask for a cholesterol test if you have crappy diet etc but if thats the case you know the answer and waht to do about it.

Even high blood pressure (mild) wouldnt be treated at that age if you dont smoke and arent over weight.
Your better off to just get on with life, get the female companion to do the odd few checks for you on a regular basis and just listen to your body.

The company I work for do offer health checks. They give you the once over, lung volume, blood pressure etc with optional urine and blood tests.

The Bupa checkup is pretty thorough. My Missus gets a yearly MOT since we're getting on a bit now and she's well impressed with all the different stuff they do.
Personally I just wait for bits to drop off, but then I'm a bit of a dinosaur.
