Wish I could go, unfortunately I can't make it this year.

Will try to go next year though, I like Farnborough

Re: Farnborough air show 2008

Do you think Farnborough will be even more busy this year due to Fairford being cancelled?

Re: Farnborough air show 2008

Wasn't too noisy today, apart from the F22 Raptor (not sure it's staying for the public) and the Typhoon. Went to the last two shows but prob just watch from outside this year - try and snap the Vulcan
Don't think the display is quite the same level as Fairford - a lot of older planes at Farnborough as well as commercial planes, eg Catalina, Vickers Vimy (replica), DC6 & A380.

Re: Farnborough air show 2008

There is a 7 minute video of the Raptor on the BBC website now. Not quite as impressive as seeing it live, but still a good watch.

Re: Farnborough air show 2008

We last went with trade tickets in 2004, missed last year because we were testing in the Sahara at the time.

We weren't planning on going this year as we've been busy but an hour ago a neighbour knocked on the door saying that he can't go this year and offering us his two tickets for free so I'm off on a 60mile bike ride

Pity the Raptor will not be at the public shows (well according to the display list anyway)

Re: Farnborough air show 2008

Just got back, great day but was fighting traffic most of the way there and back (M1, M25, M3)

Camera batteries were a bit screwy on us but will see what I've got after a good long sit-down
