We have a week off starting 18th August...
Where = Anywhere (but not Turkey)
Cost = ~£500ish
Any ideas?

Re: Holiday...
You are welcome to pitch a tent in my back garden
It might help if you gave more details, do you like activity holidays or lay back on the beach types? That sort of thing.

Good point - budget is a bit flexible - not sure what we'd get for £250 each!

Re: Holiday...
Tenerieffe (or however it's spelt)
Beaches, bars and loads of things to do (active and sight seeing)
I can recommend the Jeep safari that takes you all aound the island to hidden places on the back of a jeep. Meals included.
Trip up Mount Teide to the volcano. Observatory is open to visitors at certain times (if you're into that thing). Loro Parque (zoo type place). Dolphin spotting etc.

Mind if I ask when you went and (being really cheeky here) roughly how much it cost?

Re: Holiday...
With that limited budget and wide interest band, just go down to your local travel agent and haggle down a deal. Just see what's the best they can offer for £500.

We went in February last year, but I don't know how much it was - Mrs Gaz booked everything on-line & I just drove to the airport - I'll ask her later when she gets in.

Re: Holiday...
You can get some cheap all inclusive deals at sharm el sheik. My mates just came back, paid 340 quid each for 10 days all inclusive. They said they spent 30 quid when they were out there. Check teletext for cheap deals.
