Superhero advice
Yeah - I know. How I get myself in these scrapes I'll never know. I never did superheroes - I was busy reading proper books. I can't make one up, so no Hairdressing Man Sooooo... I need to dress as a superhero. I don't really have the physique <glances at podgy tummy> for anything tight Also short on cash. Why do I need to dress as a superhero? It's this birthday weekend I'm attending. Well, I hope I am - it's a bit up in the air (no pun intended).
Any thoughts?

Re: Superhero advice
Go as The Shadow..You need black clothing (suit would be best), a fedora, a long trench coat with a huge cloak all in black.
Could be rather hot though if the promised hot weather kicks in.

Hmmm. The tights are a worry and laying my hands on a green tunic will be tricky. I also think you're showing your age, homey

Hmmm. Stick me in anything long and I just look like the magician's assistant. I just can't carry it off. My mate suggested the invisible man - "bandages and a long mac". I pointed out that (a) he's not a superhero; and (b) me in a long mac is likely to lead to arrests.

Yes - my worry too. I can see the headlines, "Thermoman Overheats". Would be embarrassing to say the least.
You can see the trouble I'm having - being pondering for days on what to do.

Go as Clark Kent then...or any of the super hero alter egos such as Bruce Wayne,Peter Parker(wear a lab coat or carry a camera) or go as a side kick..such as Lois Lane.

I used to look like Clark Kent when I was a kid. NHS glasses. I'm still in therapy.

Re: Superhero advice
Tell them that you'll turn up as the invisible man, then don't bother going. Sorted.

Hmmm. Creative idea, but I would like to be there
I'm just having a look on Ebay but £35 (about the average price) seems a lot for something that will be stained and ripped by the end of the night.
[edit] Would Scooby Doo be classed as a superhero

Re: Superhero advice
I know it's stretching the 'superhero', but what about the Punisher (hey, he's a Marvel character!)?
You can actually buy the correct T-shirt for around 12 quid - here's the link on Play:
http://www.play.com/Clothing/T-Shirt...searchsource=0
After that, all you need is a pair of black trousers and black boots (long black coat optional).
HTH
Oh, and don't knock Gaz's suggestion - the Green Lantern's ace

Re: Superhero advice
Can I just ask, on behalf of all the other Members who have already thought this (but who have been to polite to say it), that you post pictures of yourself in whatever costume you eventually choose?
Thanks
