Dishwasher Problems

Just opened up the dishwasher (after it's been on an 'intensive' cycle) to find that it's absolutely full of bubbles.....so I put it on a 'rinse' cycle, but when it had finished it was still full of bubbles.....

Anybody got any ideas a) what's up, and b) what I can do to fix?

Cheers

Re: Dishwasher Problems

Could someone have put washing powder in your salt dispenser, instead of salt by mistake?

As far as i know dishwasher tablets/powder don't make bubbles, nor the rinse aid, so its the only thing I can think of???

Re: Dishwasher Problems

Nope. Only salt in the salt dispenser.

Just found out what caused it: Mrs-Raistlin-to-be 'improvised' this morning by using Fairy because there weren't any tablets

Re: Dishwasher Problems

Wish I'd thought to take some to be honest - was pretty funny (and also pretty scary, brand new machine )

Re: Dishwasher Problems

I found the only way to get rid of the soap is clean water and a sponge. Dont switch the machine on except to pump out the water. You will have yo wash the machine out 2-4 times before all the soap is gone.

But is is funny to open the door and find nothing but a solid wall of bubbles.
