Mr Flopsy Me Bunny
I have a problem with me bunny. He keeps falling down and can hardly walk. He shakes alot. I have to keep propeing him up. He has problems with use of both of his back legs.
I've had my bunny for 6yrs and the previous people have had him for 4yrs+. I don't want to loose him over nite before I take him to the vets. Any ideas people. Please help him. I don't want to see him go

Re: Mr Flopsy Me Bunny
Emergency vet would be about the best thing I think, although I fear that there's probably little that can be done.
Failing that, make him comfortable, keep him warm and calm, make sure he's got water and a little food, and see how he is in the morning.

From the varied answers using Google I reckon that the rabbit in question has reached the average for a rabbit.Apparently it depends on whether it's a free ranging(outdoors) or incarcerated(indoor hutch) as to final life span. The former gets half the latter.

Sadly,it sounds like he is coming to what may be the last of his hopping days..
usually a rabbit will live until about 10-12 but this rabbit sounds very unwell.
When they start losing the ability to hop/walk,they can sometimes be given steroids to help, but if this isnt done with a certain urgency it becomes a huge problem and it may be kinder to have bunny put to sleep.
I am so sorry for saying this, having a bunny in our house,i know how distressing this must be for you and the rabbit.

My doggy looking seal sasha worships it. It see the bunny as its baby and mothers it all the time.

Re: Mr Flopsy Me Bunny
Having lost a few cats over the years, I sympathise.
When they get to that age though, it's usually kinder to let them go...
