Welcome to CF
As we are going as sellers that won't be a problem - all our stuff is legit and not stolen! We're just doing it to have a bit of a clear out and make a bit of cash.

Re: Car Boot Sales
We did one a couple of years ago and it was great fun. We were selling to get rid of stuff rather than making a few bob and had a massive pile of videos left over at the end. We sold them to an obvious trader at the end of the sale for 15p each so it's worth asking around at the end of the day.
The nicest sale of the day was to a girl who was off to university soon. We had a pile of Biochemistry textbooks that we knocked a big chunk of money off to help out a new student.
In total, we trousered over £80 that day after entry, bacon butties, tea and coffee.

Re: Car Boot Sales
We've had such a laugh over the years doing the odd 'booty' now and again. I remember selling a ladies fur coat to a male japanese student
Beware of those selling stolen goods and also light fingered shoppers

Just avoid them.

Re: Car Boot Sales
Take a LOAD of Plastic Bags, if people buy clothes or books off you they will need something to carry it off in. Normally the stall holders have boxes of Bags (old shopping ones)
Take a load of Change & Small notes. You could always leave some in the Car & re-fill the Float mid way. If a load of your items are 50p then get a load of 50p, £1 & £2 coins as change. Otherwise you'll need 10p & 20p coins too.

Re: Car Boot Sales
*Bump *
Went to car boot this morning - made £130. No issues apart from a few people who think I'm a charity and want to give stuff away!

Re: Car Boot Sales
Great result. We used to do them about twice a year, calling at the tip on the way home to get rid of the dregs.
Do you think you will have another go sometime in the future?

Yeah - we still got a bit of stuff to get rid of.
Might fleaBay some of it...
The one thing I did sell that I think should have gone for more was an old Maxcom CB radio with went for £5....saw some of fleaBay last night for about £15, but it wasn't the exact model I had.
