They listened with regards to the VCR act 2006 and the defences against the offences within.
Course that was probably more to do with the stakeholders and Tory lords and ladies having better argument skills than Hazel Blears, but we had a lot of support from MPs thanks to letters written to them by their constituents.

Re: Don't forget to vote!
Turnout for my Ward was just over 33% .
I personally feel this is more important than who 'won' in the end (We ended with a 'hung' Council, in fact) - some Wards were as low as 26%, with the highest 38%.
I'm also quite annoyed that reporting the results has involved comments from MPs - my vote was placed irrespective of mainstream party politics.
These were Local Council elections & in my opinion should have nothing to do with the 'popularity', or not, of the national parties, but rather the policies of the individual candidates & their potential impact on the local community.
Unfortunately it tuned out to be a victory for apathy, in the end....

Re: Don't forget to vote!
Nearly 48% turnout in our ward, and of those, the BNP candidate polled 3.54%.
