Bottled water: Who needs it?
Do you buy bottled water? Could/can you live without it? I have never bought a bottle of water in my life, never felt the need. I would only consider buying it, if our supply was cut off, or if we went abroad on holiday. What say you?

I buy a crate of it every couple of months for taking to the gym as it's handy

Couldn't you just fill a bottle with tap water, and stick it in the fridge, the night before?

Zeph, I expect the taste varies, dependent on which part of the country you live, so I can understand that! BTW how much is a crate?

Re: Bottled water: Who needs it?
I've only bought plain bottled water while on holiday.
I don't drink water anyway, so certainly wouldn't pay more for bottled.
I do sometimes like the little bottles of flavoured water from Morrison's though.. I figure they're better than soda.

Apparently we should be drinking up to 8 pints of water a day!

Exactly, if one has a strong sense of smell, then tap water is a nono. I do not like tap water on the table, it spoils the meal with the chlorine smell...

Re: Bottled water: Who needs it?
We have an in-line water filter fitted with a seperate tap due to the foul taste of unfiltered water here in Mansfield.
Very seldom do we buy bottled water unless were out.

Re: Bottled water: Who needs it?
I take a 1.5l bottle to work each day as a target to drink. I did get some Buxton 6x 1.5l from Tesco's for £1.41 and it's not on offer anymore. I wish I'd bought more at that price.

I buy 5ltr bottles from Tesco 95p, and we also filter tap water, some of the crap that comes from our taps is disgusting!

Re: Bottled water: Who needs it?
I've tried to get in the habbit of drinking a pint of tap water every time I go in the kitchen thirsty or not - I remember some research that said about 60% of people were always dehydrated.
I have bought bottled a few times, probably count the time in my life on one hand.
If im going to open a bottle of anything at home its wine or port
