Talk about self defeating.

Having had the dubious pleasure of having to have 2 new kitchens fitted within the last 8 years, I can heartily recommend using a local kitchen supplier with measurements checked by the fitter. It may have cost more but the stress free experience was worth it (especially when a friend is a kitchen fitter)

Just as I thought I'd never make the same mistake twice: used the Air Wick instead of Right Guard... again. Pits of the forest

Snot - thick green stuff that's really hard to get out of your nose, no matter how hard you blow. Only it's warm, not cold.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
And now the water's gone off - just a gentle stream even though the tap is on full. Not enough pressure to ignite the boiler, so no hot water. It's turning into the week from hell. Rapidly. Just had my mate here - he's no water at all. Must be further "up pipe". I've filled a pan, just in case.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
Bloody supermarkets and their underhand tactics on 'offers'. I was in Tesco's today and the weekly shop included cans of coca cola. We normally get a 24 pack (or two 10 packs when there's a genuine offer) as they work out cheapest. Today, there were no 24 packs or 10 packs, just 6 packs. It's not like they sold out, there just weren't any. There were rows and rows of 6 packs though. There was an amazing offer as well: two 6 packs for £4, that's £8 for 24 cans. I'm pretty sure the standard price for a 24 pack is £7.50 or so, you thieving barstewards. OK, it's only 50p, but it really annoys me that they will just take all the larger multipacks off the shelve to make an offer look good when you end up paying more.
It could be worse I suppose. We used to shop at Sainsbury's. They were at it all the time...

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
I tend to just shop and if I save money, then cool. I might go for stuff at £1 or half-price, if it's something I can make use of.
Damn cold. Ache all over and feel hot

You're a wimp! I post a detailed expose of how the common man's livelihood is threatened by an imperialist conglomerate of multinational companies and you complain of a runny nose? PAH!
I do hope you feel better soon though. I'd pay a lot more than 50p for not having a cold

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
I thought it was more how the male hunter-gatherer, no longer able to seek out the best hunting grounds, seeks out the best supermarket offers - and is thwarted in doing so by sophisticated marketing
I've caught the cold because I used public transport on Saturday. Wouldn't mind but I gave a young lady in distress 10p towards her fare - you'd think the God(s) would smile on me.
