True Zeph. What got to us was that we were supposed to be going out to lunch with them and instead ended up having this frustrating conversation then helping them mop up and try to dry out the parquet floor before it started lifting.
The reason they are convinced it is the roof at fault is one of these dodgy roofing men telling them a couple of weeks ago that, as he was passing, he noticed that they needed a whole new roof.!!!
They were all for contacting him on his mobile and giving him the go ahead. At least we persuaded them to phone our roofer and we know he will not take advantage of them.

Those stupid security seals they put across the top of CD cases...
Even when you finally get all the fragments off they leave a sticky residue that picks up dust & dirt.

Try Sticky Stuff Remover it's really gets that horrible residue off.

Despite having had 8 damn weeks to fulfil the order, my kitchen was delivered today with 3 missing components, and one wrong part.
The missing components? Only small things..... three ruddy great big 3m lengths of worktop, easy to miss really.
The wrong part? A gloss black fracking end panel, the rest of the kitchen's gloss cream!!
Why is it, that despite having so long to get it right, these muppets still screw it all up?
To make matters better they now can't deliver the right parts for another 3 weeks!!!!
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! !!

I feel your pain Raistlin..I'm halfway through a kitchen refit myself and I've another 10 days until the rest is delivered.
The first lot I couldn't match anything on my manifest with the delivered boxes or with the deliveryman's manifest.IF there had been an error I had no way to prove it or who was to blame.Thankfully everything arrived..but it's damned annoying all the same. They also said 'do not engage any tradesmen until you do receive your delivery in case there is an error with your order'.
Talk about self defeating.
