Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
I hate having to pay tax. Small fortune. Never get anything for it. Same with Council Tax. Then there's the student loan - which the people who introduced it will never have to pay. Or their kids - silver spoon and all that.
Parking meters. Or more precisely, Wakefield Council. Visit a park in Leeds and it's free. Visit one in Wakefield and you have to pay. Got to Newmillerdam for a walk - no change for the parking meter. So headed back up the road to an ASDA we passed - just in the nick of time, as it happens. They were closing at 16:00 and we got there at 15:45-ish. Took £10 out of the cash machine and bought a packet of cheese n onion rolls - for the change. Got back to the car park and joined the queue for the single parking meter in the car park. Only to find that it wasn't working - two people in front of me tried and it kept rejecting coins. Flaming typical. My mate was fretting about a parking fine, but what could we do Few other people just left their cars without a ticket, so we did too. When we got back, no parking fine, which I was half expecting there to be one, given our luck so far.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
Turn up to work this morning at the correct time of half 7. No one is there, so i phone around and no-one answers their phone, so i wait for an hour and go home. I send my boss a txt to let him know ive gone home, he replies at 5 to nine to tell me that actually everyones going in at half nine today.
It wouldnt have taken much effort for someone to have let me know.

You go in at half ten - you already have spent an hour at work. If they don't like it, tell them to communicate better.

I went in and said just that, and the boss said he would pay me from half 7! I didnt even have to argue with him. I think he's coming down with something

I knocked a cup off the kitchen worktop, and foolishly tried to catch it on my foot. Missed my foot and caught a glancing blow off my ankle bone. Pain

Could be worse though... Cooking dinner last night: had the top shelf of the fridge collapse spewing the contents all over the floor, burned my hand on hot oil spitting out of a pan and had the garlic press snap in half due to plastic fatigue (and land in the pan of hot oil).

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
Bloody budget.
last year they upped corp tax for small businesses from 19% to 20% - so this year they lower corp tax for big businesses from 30% to 28%.
Good to see them supporting the small business.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
I got a job interview last Tuesday. over 30 people had applied but they only invite 5 or 6 back to the interview.
She said she'd be in touch at the end of the week or the beginning of this week.... It's not Wednesday which has me thinking they were waiting for someone else to accpet before telling me it wasn't mine.
Anyway - i phoned them today and she reassured me that they were waiting for the manager to set a start date and that they hadn't actually offered it to anyone yet.
More waiting I need to get it in my head i haven't got it but i reeeeeeeally want it

Ask her to meet you x mins earlier than you plan to be there?
