Car insurance. Picking up new car tommorow, and only had the new reg on tuesday. So i immediatly paid for a years insurance with direct line who assured me that i would have the documents by today so the garage could tax it. Post comes today, nothing. So i phone them up and ask to have a copy faxed directly to the garage. They say yes so i hang up.
An hour later the garage call they still havent recieved it, so another call to direct line. This was repeated 3 times until eventually i kept this woman on the phone with another phone to the garage until they had recieved it.

How hard is it to send a fax?

dug out the PS2 to play some classic PS1 games and can't find a PS1 memory card for the saved games

I'm just sat here on the couch, thinking.... I might go up to bed and watch a film or something on the little portable telly.... So i go looking through Sky with the intention of watching ANY film as long as it doesn't have Steve Martin in it...

What are the chances??? The only film on terrestrial TV on this Saturday night has Steve Martin in it.!! LOL

I really can't stand him

much preferred him as a stand up - a couple of decent films but the stuff he's done in the past 10 years has been rubbish

Actually, it does, never played it, still have 42 original playstation games somewhere though, 2 consoles, 4 controllers... etc.

Hell, my grandad had a chipped PS1 (mine never was chipped). He now has a PS2 and a few games.

The Sega Megadrive 2 was awesome though! Still have mine, and it still works. Still have my Dreamcast, and about 20 games. NEver use em any more, but do fire em up every now and again for nostalgic purposes. (And of course, to make my eyes bleed=

According to that call centre docu on the other night direct line have a call centre in South Africa which may not help the situation.

Could the garage not tax it on their insurance? We used to do that all the time, in fact it was probably only 1 in 50 that actually was taxed on the owners insurance.

My pet hate is having to pay tax twice. I pay income tax (of course) on my wages, some of which I put on an irregular basis into a savings account that pays interest. But then I pay tax on the interest! What the hell?!

Does any other country do this to its citizens? We're being bled to death - mind you, with the cost of funerals these days we can hardly even afford to die any more!
