Never mind, I'm sure we'll get there in the end - it's not a huge contract, only about £1M

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
Dozy mod on another forum. Got all suspicious of me, suggesting I had multiple accounts on that forum [I don't] just because:
1. all 3 accounts had the same IP addy at signup - I joined ages ago, so it would have been when NTL was still using those "ghost" proxies
2. all 3 accounts used an @ntlworld email addy
3. all 3 accounts have set their timezone to the same 1
4. my posts "sound like"* that of the other 2 users.
Muppet.
*allegedly - I don't agree

Perhaps one of the resident troll-sniffing mods could pop over and offer some advice, Alien
My moan - Burger King. Not so much fast food but just food. Also ran out of burger baps so they used what look like cheap breadcakes instead. And they got the order wrong. It's a shame there's only one near work.

Fortunately another of that forum's mods lives in the UK & is also a VM customer, & verified that what I was saying about proxies is true. Apparently he's had to explain it over there before, when it apparently went in 1 ear & out the other.

Don't work have a microwave or whatever, so you can take stuff in & heat it up?
My moan: 1 of my toes is hurting [not bad, just annoying] as if I'd smacked it on something, or dropped something on it... except I haven't.

We do - two or three of them, and fridges. Unfortunately it's a male dominated environment, so the microwaves look like a gremlin has been in there (remember the scene from the movie...) and the fridge could have once belonged to Ed Gein.

Drop an anonymous note in the pigeon hole of someone in HR or management about it that includes the words "Health & Safety".

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
I'm having a few problems getting a Pac code from my old mobile company. I asked for it over a week ago and I'm getting a bit fed up now. I was told 24 hours then 72 hours. I think I’m getting the run around.
I work in the Telco business myself so I'm going to have to make some calls today or tomorrow mentioning OFCOM guidelines. That should get them moving.
I know that they are a MNVO (they use T-Mobile) and 72 hours sounds about right but a week does not . I'm a bit fed up having to carry two phones everywhere.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates Part 5.
I'm not sure what a "Pac code" is, but from the context it sounds like you want to unlock 1 of your phones so you can use it on a different network, yes? If so, you can probably find someone on your local market, or independant mobile phone shop [not tied to any 1 network], to do it for a tenner.

no, it's so that he can transfer his number to his new network
