Try it - you'll like it... hic....
Tried for the first time last night a delicious 'white' wheat beer called Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc. Served very cold it has a smooth almost fruity flavour and I must say I found it delightful ....hic......
What's your favourite beer and why?

Same here - I like the white beer mentioned, but I have several boxes of beer at home to cater for my mood.
Cobra, Brahma, San Miguel, Bud, Sol, Fosters, Castle, Peroni.
I'm not an alcoholic by the way.

Never been a fan of the lime wedges.
I tend to stick mine in the freezer for an hour before I want to drink them - you can't beat an ice cold beer.
Only place I found that did castle was Tesco - tried it whilst I was out in Maderia (even though it's a south African beer I think) - been looking for it since.

Finest beer I've ever tasted is a lager called Windhoek which is produced in Namibia. Used to enjoy the odd one or two when I was working in SA So much better than Castle.

speaking of which - does anyone know of a site that will supply foreign beers/lagers at reasonable prices - supermarkets carry some stuff, off licences carry others, but there's more out there to try...

oh no! your on the wagon
i dont like to drink in excess, by that i mean get drunk... i get the worst hangovers, plus im on meds
but i treat myself to one or two most nights, even if its only my bed time drink...
you gotta try this guys
get some cadburys hot chocolate (the one you make with milk)
put a good couple of scoops in a mug
then get a measure of navy rum ( just a lid full)
then mix that in with the chocolate powder to form a runnyish paste
then pour some boiled milk in and stir....voila!
what a lovley comfort drink it is when your feeling a little sorry for yourself LOL!

Guinness Red -- not as 'filling' as Guinness so I can drink it with a meal and be able to eat all my food, too!
Otherwise, Peroni or Leffe. Occasionally Löwenbräu. Corona if I happen to be craving one.
Beers from home: Sleeman's Cream Ale. When in Eastern Canada: Molson Canadian. When in Western Canada: Kokanee. (Seriously, for some reason Canadian & Kokanee don't taste right if you're on the 'wrong' side of the country for it. Maybe they have 2 different breweries? Maybe I'm imagining it. )
