Making Bread - Help!
Ok,
So last night i whipped up a dough extravaganza, basically, flour, yeast, an egg, sultanas and honey all lovingly crafted into a hand beaten dough.
Only thing was the damn yeast had expired and i didnt notice, resulting in, limpness....
So, should i just dump it and make a new batch, or mix in some more (new) yeast and warm water and try again? (Is that a smart option health wise?)

Why not just cook it and see what happens? You can always feed the birds if it goes wrong.

Could you not pour a bit of baking powder in. Might help it rise a bit ?

The trouble is if you add more yeast it might make the flavour unbalanced and too yeasty flavoured.

Re: Making Bread - Help!
I'd stick some more yeast in, but not too much. The other option would be to deep fry it, delicious but probably fattening. ;-)
