Anyone know a good motorbike dealer?
I'm hoping to get a motorbike soon, something like a Suzuki 500; I'm told they're good for first-timers, reliable and sturdy. Can anyone here who is a biker recommend a place, preferably in the Manchester area? There is a branch of ESB near me, but I might shop around a bit.
One option I considered was getting a newish second-hand bike, but I rejected it a) because you've no real comeback if anything goes wrong and b) you have to pay the lot up front, rather than on interest-free credit. Plus I think that maintenance costs on a not-new bike might mean it would be a false economy; I'd rather have a new bike.
Any ideas, bikers?

cant help you on dealerships in manchester sorry, but a word of caution dont rush head long into buying new,in my time i have had 4 bikes all second hand and i couldnt fault one of them, get a fellow experienced biker to go along with you who knows what to look for ie chains, tyres, oil leaks, out of line, and you could pick up a bargain especially at this time of year.good luck.

I can't be any help in suggesting a bike/dealer, but I would suggest not parking it in the communal area of your flat if you want to avoid upsetting your neighbour

Only if you've passed your test. You can't stick L plates on a 500. Well, you can, but . . .
Ali.

Agree with other posters...get yourself some intensive quality training.
Also buy used. Better value. dealers? Hunts motorcycles. been there ages, more than 30 years, well respected, plenty of choice.
