Background check on person

Hi everyone, i really wanted to know if there is ANYONE who can help me with finding out someones background, including criminal records.
I know there are various websites offering this service...but somehow, they all seem dodgy or a waste of time, and expensive. i really need to know this persons background as i believe it is criminally related.

any good websites or alternative methods, other than filling in all sorts of forms?
any help?

You dont have any rights to do so. They are rightfully protected by the data protection act amongst others.

2. I'd be interested to know why you need this information, and what makes you think the person concerned is a criminal.....

There's a lot of reasons for that. The person might not necessarily be a criminal, just related to some criminal activities..not so deep. but i just wanted to know if i could get anything on that person. i know its against the data protection act...but still...surely there must be some way..some computer expert out there..

The data protection act is that for a reason. It makes it impossible to legally aquire the data you want. As illegal activities will not be chat about on this forum, I suggest not going any further or you may find you get an infraction or a ban.

So you are asking someone to break the law for you. They then could be taken to court if they are found out and given a criminal record as well as you for asking them to do it.

You've obviously got a specific person in mind, and for a specific reason, otherwise you wouldn't have asked your question in the way that you did.

The answer therefore, without any further information which might possibly have enabled me to provide you with some alternatives, is that there isn't any 'legitimate' way that I can think of that you can a) get the information that you require, and b) be assured that the responses you get are appropriate and trustworthy, given that you now seem to be suggesting that you would like to carry out these checks on a whim and for just about anybody that you come into contact with.

None what so ever. You can only (possibly) obtain a background check if you are employing a/this person and you are indeed an employer (Specifically in a role of handling data, finances etc). Other than that you have nae chance of finding out this particular persons background, without breaching the DPA.

If you know its illegal why come on here and ask for help to break the law. I thought it was an odd first thread.

So what if they are or have been linked to criminals or criminal activity? You could say the same about me.

Sounds like a response to jealousy to me.

no...i only want 2do it ONCE just for this person, he/she means a lot to me..so i really need to know. I've got nothing nasty in mind. so there is no legitimate way
