i got my test tomorrow i am so nervous

i keep making more mistkes now then ever and my instructor keeps shoutin i would change him but its too late now but i just hope i pass coz my theory test runs out next month and i dont think i can re do it i am so nervous.

I don't think I'd pass a driving test now if I had to. I'm glad there was no theory test stuff when I took it all those years ago. The most I had was the examiner asking me a "silly" question like "what makes a car skid?" I rabbitted on about all sorts of technical stuff when the answer he wanted was "the driver"

Still passed

You can only do your best and just try to drive and behave normally.

Good luck, my sister is kinda in the same position as yourself, her theory ends in march and her test in feb, so good luck!!

Relax, remember if you don't pass it's not the end of the world.
If you have to parallel park or turn the car around using forward and reverse gears (3point turn to most of us) don't rush it, better to take a little while and do it properly than rush it and fail.
Also, when going from a minor road out into a major, use 1st gear, and when going off from a major road into a minor use 2nd gear.

Try to relax - just remember that everyone else you see on the road will have been where you are at some time (well most of them). Good luck!

Good luck for your test.

Just make sure you stay calm, have an early night, and concentrate on the road. Forget the instructor. Just imagine he is on the toilet or something or in the shower. Don't be frightened of him or her.
Make it obvious when you check mirrors so they can really notice.

I found that Bach's rescue remedy worked to help me get through my test.

Do note that you can retake your theory test, it just means you have to pay another Ã‚Â£30 or however much it costs.

Good point about the mirrors! If you just look with your eyes, they may not realise you're actually using your mirrors, so it might be an idea to adjust them so you have to turn your head.

A common misconception. The examiner will know when you should use your mirrors and will be trained to observe you doing so.

Oh dear Ladybird,

Your instructor seems like a bit of a horror. There is a right way and a wrong way of getting an effective message across.

But its not all about passing and failing LB.

The most important thing is that you are passed fit to be let loose on the roads to gain experience hopefully to be a good and safe driver.

The over riding factor is that you are considered basically competent and safe to be a new driver.
