Won Holiday in Bahamas
Despite being registered at TPS I have just received a telephone call from a computer generated voice advising me I had won the above. I did a 1471 and it returned "we do not have the callers number to return the call".
Anyone else had this recently ?

Re: Won Holiday in Bahamas
I think that the TPS is only functional if the companies actually register to the TPS and I dont think it's mandatory is it?

Re: Won Holiday in Bahamas
TPS only works on companies that:
A: Take note of it.
B: Operate in this country.
Calls coming in from abroad are not covered and companies that ignore the regulation obviously pay no attention to the TPS either.

Re: Won Holiday in Bahamas
Isn't that the message you get if the call came from abroad?

Re: Won Holiday in Bahamas
Some of these people use random dialers which of course don't take the TPS into account.

Re: Won Holiday in Bahamas
great news fireman
If it is a holiday for 2, I'll happily volunteer to come along.
Since a computer called you, does that mean it's a virtual holiday? Maybe they plan to send you a 3D Java applet and tell you to enjoy the views...

Re: Won Holiday in Bahamas
Thanks for all your replies, I will just ignore it. The Bahamas were getting like Torremolinos anyway.
