Re: I lost one of my rats today…
Sorry to hear you have lost one of your rats. Burt looked like a real cutie. Your pictures show that he was obviously happy with you. Number 6 is my favourite but I am sure all the pictures will all give you pleasure.
Jo.

Awwww, poor Burt You were acting with his best interests at heart - surgery is always a risk, even for us humans.

Aw, poor Lew. Bert does look an absolute star, no wonder you were going out of your way to help him... he'd have known that you always had his interests at heart.

Re: I lost one of my rats today…
Photo no.6 is also my favourite, he looks so mischievous, funny how they all have their own little personalities. There is no doubt you will miss him Lew, but I am sure you will feel the urge to adopt another one pretty soon. You certainly look after your pets very well, I especially like the hammocks and comfy beds, it's like a ***hotel in there.

Whilst i understand you obviously dont like rats, why feel the need to come into this particular thread and ram it in his face right after his pet has died, spoiler or no spoiler?
Some people have a huge emotional attatchment to pets, whatever they may be, what you said up there was creul and sick and not necessary in this thread.

Can we show a little sensitivity please, I have just deleted two wholly unnecessary posts from this thread.

Also contained misinformation as well, contrary to popular belief domestic rats aren't as you described but have been tainted by wild rats opportunistc nature, the fact that they will thrive in the worst of conditions is what makes them carry disease. Oh and the plague probably didn't help their image either.
Sorry about your loss Lew, it's always hard when an animal you have grown attached to dies

Re: I lost one of my rats today…
I've never been a fan of rats but I've lost pets in the past so I know how empty that feels. Sorry to hear about the little guy.
Cool name btw - and you spelt it right

Such a shame, but you did the right thing by him and he had a good life with you.
