holiday late deal help
Hi all, time to put the power of CF to proper use
I've been trawling the net now for ages but can't what I want, which is.....
Preferably
All inclusive, to anywhere hot, 2 adults 4 kids 10 - 15 years old, 7 nights, leaving.............................. this weekend , any North East airport, up to £300.00 pp
Now you would think that there were loads of holidays within those search criteria, wouldn't you
Any and all help, needed, and appreciated ................ GO TEAM CF

Re: holiday late deal help
hmm... I don't wanna help, I'll get even more depressed that Anton & I are not having a honeymoon
anyways would it not probably be better if you contacted a travel agent, as they can search through their systems and look directly at last minute cancellations and stuff?
if not, a quick search on the thomson website tells me that you are looking at a fair few quid for AI...

apart from trawling all the online tour ops and sites like expedia.co.uk, travelocity.co.uk and opodo.co.uk, i'd try the High Street. The market is absolutely dead at the moment, so you should be able to talk down some decent deals.
Whereever you see, always check tripadvisor.com first. I'd put my life on it. Very accurate and informative. Absolutely spot on when the missus and I went to Riu Cancun (already looked for you, 2 weeks is 600 quid eac. Sadly Thomson don't do 1 week, so hopefully through someone else you might even be able to go there for a week at 300 quid each That's from Manchester though.)

Is it really that hard to find a bargain nowadays a couple of years ago I went to Tunisia with the partner for less than £200 each, all inclusive. Surely there must be something out there............... que the X-files theme

Re: holiday late deal help
Just checked last minute.com and got no AI leaving within 7 days of 18th August for 2 adults / 4 kids and a budget max of £350.
Edit might have found something here.
http://www.lastminute.com/site/trave...1&sortBy=0%2C1
Spain - Calas De Mallorca
Adults - £438 Kids - £194 Average £275 a head :-)

Ditto on that and others, might have to go for a self catering hol instead, thats gonna cost in the long run 4 kids wanting drinks and food all day, my slush fund and beer tokens will sharp run low
EDIT: your edit looks good reading it now
EDIT EDIT with all the charges etc it comes out just short of £3,000

Re: holiday late deal help
There are several on http://www.instantholidays.co.uk/ The website isn't the best looking but does the job and gives you plenty of options to widen your search

Now I lurve Corfu, just had a quote from the travel agents at Tesco's for the 6 of us, all inclusive and what looks to be a private beach right out back of the hotel pool, £3,000 why is that looking like the magic figure
Does look nice though

Re: holiday late deal help
Boppy, I'm sat here in a mega Sunny Florida trying to find a cheapy holiday for you instead of sunbathing
however, try the Thomas Cook website, a week AI leaving from Newcastle on 20th to Turkey is #387 pounds, not sure who is under 12 so not exact on the price but if you get rid of the in-flight meals and extra luggage charge works out about #2200 and if they will take off the late deal charge thats another #90 off so could be #2100 approx (sorry no pound sign on this pc)

Thanks Marge or I could just source some cheap flights to Florida and The Brady Bunch could descend upon you and yours
Thanks for the info, I'll look into it now

Re: holiday late deal help
The last two years ive got good deals with firstchoice.
Direct holidays were very cheap also last year, booked self catering and then phoned up and uped to full board for very little extra.
