Any mechanics who can help???
I'm looking at getting motor just to knock about in, it's a Vauxhall Omega diesel on an X plate 2000 model automatic. Have these got the timing chain or have they got a timing belt? I know some models used the BMW engine and are bullet proof I wondered if this one had the chain?

If its the same 2000 dti engine they use in the astra & vectra, it has a chain. No belt.

Cheers bud, all I know it's the 2000 model on a X plate, the engine looks to big to have a belt.

Is it Tdi or Tds?
Tds is BMW and Tdi is Vauxhalls own. They changed to there own in 2000. (i think)

I think it's just the TD, on the back it says Omega 2.5TD
