Interactive whiteboards have been heralded as devices that will enhance education and be a major plank in the government's drive for new technology in schools.
But the BBC has learnt that while millions of pounds have been spent on them, very little attention has been paid to a potential threat to the eyesight of teachers and children.
Actually this is unlikely to happen IF the projectors are positioned properly.All of ours are hung from the ceilings and you would have to be 10 ft tall to be able to look directly into the beam.
However it would be sensible to issue a warning just in case some idiot decided to climb up on a stool and stare into the projector I suppose.
