Hair Clippers............

Anybody use them ? I have a number 1 hair cut, and could do with recommmendations on a new set of clippers. I want to cut it myself, and have looked at these but am not sure if the rotating head is just a gimmick, or it does help.

You ever tried clipping your own hair, its hard man!

you need someone to do the back for you really, or prepare to become labelled tufty

I can imagine it will be lol That's why I wonder if the rotating head on the philips actually works, when trying to do the back bits.

I had to re-read that then, tufty means something completely different where I come from.

Get a pair of cordless clippers, and clipping your own hair shouldn't be a problem, unless you have dwarf type arms.

Get yourself some water/shower proff clippers (make sure they are waterproof not splash proof) and cut your own hair in the shower. Much easier to clean up after too.

As for the back of the head, it's all about touch and feel, i been shaving my own either with clippers or a mach3, and my tufty days are well and truly gone!

Those Phillips are, in my opinion a waste of money. I bought them from argos, had a quick look and thought that the rotating head is a gimick. I think the remington ones at half the price are better value, and equally effective.

Re: Hair Clippers............

Looked at those and thought better of it when we got out last set. A standard set of cordless clippers should do you fine as long as you stay away from the cheap and nasty sets,

Re: Hair Clippers............

I`ve always used Wahl clippers as i`ve been a Slaphead for about 12 years now.
I never use the supplied combs, just the clipper blades.
I do find though that to get that `skin` look, i have to re-align the blades myself but they do nick my ear sometimes! Bugger to stop it bleeding as well!
