House contents insurance...
Morning,
Any body here know of any decent companies that supply house contents insurance apart from Direct Line...?
Cheers

Re: House contents insurance...
I recently went through the exercise of changing our house & contents insurance. Most of the insurance companies have excellent websites where you can plumb in your details and it will work out a quote. In the end, Zurich was the cheapest for us. The Co-Op was the most expensive but that was still much less than what we had been paying to Direct Line for years. It obviously pays to shop around every 2 or 3 years.
There's some good info at the FSA:
http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk...insurance.html
And your mortgage company may specify that the insurance is FSA approved.

If they'll cover you. We've not flooded in living memory, but they class us as a flood risk this year. The woman couldn't answer me when I said we had them two years ago. She insisted we'd always been a flood risk!!!
