You need to wet it and lift the stain out .
I-E no scrubing it you will make it worse that way

If Vanish Power Foam can handle the mess I made when I had gastric [sp?] flu the other week, I don't think it would have much trouble with diet coke.

Plus it's only about £4 for a huge can of it.
