Re: Dying Hair Black
Be careful!
I dyed my hair when I was at uni (10 years ago ).
Looked OK at first, but then faded after a while & turned ginger!
Can't remember the brand...

Re: Dying Hair Black
nutrisse (or however its spelled) is quite good, it used to smell lovely too, but last time I used it it smelled kinda banana-like?
look for the brand that has different shades of black, I think its 100% or Live colour - they are my faves.
I generally get whatever hair dye is on offer, be it in boots, wilko, or superdrug!

Re: Dying Hair Black
Rub some vaseline around your hairline and ears otherwise the skin will be dyed too.

Re: Dying Hair Black
HI FV2007,
Could I ask a personal question, Why do you want to dye your hair black?
My son did his when he first went to Uni. When he decided to go back to his original blond, some 3 years later, he ended up as a skin head for weeks-(suits some I know, but unfortunately not him). Growing it out gave an the comic effect of his hair floating above his head.

Don't do it - black hair only looks good on those that were born with it...

Re: Dying Hair Black
Don't do it, when your natural hair starts growing you could end up with a nightmare scenario of light roots and black hair (Says me who has just dyed her hair red )

I find it very hard to resist the temptation to tell people when they need their roots doing! teehee. says she with 2 inch dark roots and light brown / red-ish length that needs re-doing badly!

Re: Dying Hair Black
If you are Ginger don't dye, nothing suits gingers, maybe blonde if you are lucky. Just be resigned to the fact you are ginger fo life
