As it turned out, there wasn't a support group - instead, they showed the documentary that E (frontman of Eels) did about his dad (who came up with the theory of parallel universes). Sounds dull, but it was really good. Plus, most support bands are poo anyway, so it made a nice change

I thought they were 'The Eels' - but I defer to your greater knowledge because all I know is the one song because it featured in trigger happy tv..

They certainly did do 'Novocaine...', and it's even better live
There was only 2 of them - E and someone else who he called 'The Chet', and they were fantastic. I'd thoroughly recommend seeing them if you get the chance
Oh, and they definitely are called 'Eels' - however, the tour's called 'Meet The Eels', so that's a touch confusing. Anyway, who cares? They were brilliant

I must confess - I spent my sweeties money in the pub Don't let Mrs Nug know - I told her that it was stolen by 4 masked men...

Little sisters birthday today she's 9. I've just been into the Carphone Warehouse to get her a phone (present from mum and I'm able to get a discount). Have to go to GAME later to get her some DS games. She will be a happy kid

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
got another 6 months renewal.
yay!
but no rate increase
boo!
Still given the financial markets at the moment, the bank could have found lots of reasons (several billion in fact) not to renew me, so can't complain too much

Probably because you still hadn't learnt to talk during most of the 90s

So... what you're saying... is that you don't think I could talk by the time I was 5 (1990)?
