I've got the firm offer of three days work next week with the possibility of a full week.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Just came home for lunch and opened the door and saw a huge thing in my back garden. We live in the city so I wondered what on earth it was.
I went outside and found a huge Pheasent trotting around the grass and behind the holly bush.
It was a beautiful site to see and as it eventually flew off, it had a massive tail and wings. Very colurful bird, and a nice thing to find in yuor garden.

I thought I was bad - I was in bristol once by some water and I saw something move... 'omg! there are birds in the water!' I have also gone past a field & heard a weird noise so exclaimed 'what was that?!' really startled, to be told in a very dulcet tone 'it was a cow.'

Reminds me of a time (about 4 years ago) when a friend came into work all excited because she'd seen a strange rodent-like creature in her garden. After a lot of googling, we came to the conclusion that she thought she saw a capybara. The problem is that she lived in Catford, SE london. You don't get many exotic rodents in SE london. Rats, yes.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Just finished the third of three telephone interviews (Thursday, Friday, and today) for a contract Project Manager's position with the Wealth Management arm of a well-known bank.
I must have been reasonably adequate, because I have been told that I have a face-to-face interview with the big boss tomorrow in the City, at 12:15 (doesn't leave me much time to prepare, but what the hey!).
Here's hoping.....
