Traffic Light Gob Stoppers, Satin Cushions and Cherry Lips ahhhh memories from my childhood. I would be afraid of having them now in case my memories were spoilt by the reality of dental caries.

Mrs Gaz has made a beautiful garden. It's lovely when the weather makes it possible to enjoy being outside. Glad you had a great time.

My childhood favourite was Fry's Five Centres, but sadly it's not made anymore.

well you can always join me, if ever you are here-abouts - if truth be known I am usually indoors, but I might be persuaded to venture out if we have guests

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Mandy and I were invited to The Proms at the Albert Hall yesterday.
Drinks and nibbles in a private function room (overlooking the Albert Memorial) before the concert and again during the intermission.....very swish!
The National Youth orchestra was superb! Played Aaron Jay Kernis- New era Dance (interesting)
Prokofiev- Paino concerto no.1 in D flat major, Op. 10 (very moving)
Shostakovich- Symphony no.7 in C major 'Leningrad' (went on a bit at the end)
Fantastic evening.....and got a chance to wear a suit for a change!

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
wow! that is a beautiful garden.
we've got some sweeties at the wedding in little organza bags - strawberries & cream, heart-shaped champagne truffles, not sure what else yet... our naughty local newsagent has been to the cash & carry and picked up far too many cool sweeties, he'll get me to try one, then I have an addiction for the next week!
I've seen the oldies play tennis at the Albert Hall, I'd love to go again hint hint Anton!

That's my happy thought since I was so rudely woken up.

Oh, it's only family I'm doing it to not other people. Neighbours won't be able to hear it that much.

thankyou, although, like I said, it is Mrs Gaz who deserves the credit.
It has been gorgeous weather here, today, & it has been great watching the birds hopping about, a squirrel getting a drink from the bird bath & the bumble bees buzzing round all the flowers. We also saw a hedgehog recently, but don't know if he was just passing through - and we have at least one newt in our small pond - seemed pretty sober, though, unlike what I have planned for later
