Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
I've just received a letter from Central trains, regarding the problems I posted about in the moans and pet hates thread. They have informed me, as means of compensation, they will give me the whole amount for my return journey. According to their letter, the passengers charter would normally have given me 25% for any delay over 30 minutes. As a good will gesture, they are refunding me the total amount for the return leg. In addition, they are also offering me a complimentary journey in the future, anywhere on Central trains' network. I just need to contact them now, to arrange for a freebie.
Now, I wonder where I can think of travelling to.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
To read or not to read, that is the dilemma. I've just picked up the last Harry Potter book. I want to start reading it immediately, but don't want the saga to end and I know that once I start reading I won't stop until it's finished.

T'other half has got his nose stuck in the book as I write and hasn't even looked online so I know it's serious Off to try and keep him fed and watered so he doesn't waste away

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Bah! I went out especially today and I got home with a copy, put the shopping away then decided to have a coffee and a quick start to reading it..only to find my son had walked off with it in the meantime.
I'm not up to arm wrestling a 15 stone 19 year old unfortunately.

It's no use. The lure of HP is too great. I'm off to get comfy with a cup of tea and THE BOOK. Anybody disturbs me and they're mincemeat.
