Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Went for Thai food - it's a restaurant but they do takeaway. We've been before (at work) but I've never gone in to collect it. So, in I wander and the front-of-house chap approaches me. Explained why I'm there. Gives me the food in a brown paper bag, and requests that I take a seat So I sat down. Approaches me with the bill on a little wooden tray. I take the tray and he bows, hands in praying position Wasn't quite sure how to respond. I return the tray with the money and he takes it from me. Returns the tray with the change on it, and again, he bows when I take the tray. I could only say, "Thanks". He also said, "Enjoy your food", as I left. Such a lovely experience. Lovely curry thing I had too Big chunks of lamb - my favourite

The sub is so big I'm thinking of renting it out to a homeless family .....

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Went and got my dog from the vets today (he was involved in a dog vs car incident Tuesday night, and lost - the person's car was unmarked, but Benji for one small, brief moment, became Krypto the flying dog).
After lots of X-rays and worries about internal injuries (not good), he has ended up with a broken back leg, multiple contusions, and a vets bill for £550 (here's hoping the insurance pays out).
Important thing is that he's home, mostly in one piece, and feeling very sorry for himself, but on the road to recovery.
Now, if I could only find the young scallywags who came into our garden to get their ball back, and forgot to close the gate afterwards, I would show them Benji, and the pain they caused him (and us, as at one point, we thought we might lose him), and perhaps they might think to be more careful in the future.

I just googled the dimensions, 13" x 13.3" x 18.1" - sound about right? If so, it may be big by PC speaker standards, but it's pretty average as subwoofers in general go. Mine's [Mordaunt Short 907] about 15" x 15" x 15", but there are certainly bigger ones available.

LOL, yeah. You can get even bigger & more expensive ones, but that was the biggest I could find with a quick search. I've often thought it would be cool to have a go at building 1 myself, but my current 1 is more than sufficient to really annoy the neighbours if I wanted to.
