So the VW Bora is an aptly named car..

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Arranged to see someone at NatWest about getting a Step account tomorrow lunch time, but have to take my gf to a job agency so won't have time.
Phoned up to cancel, and they took me through the application over the phone.
Was suprised when they offered me their Gold Current account considering Abbey wouldn't give me anything until I'd been discharged from my bankrupcy for a year.
Was even more supprised at the £144 a year NatWest wanted to charge me for a load of benefits which if I actually paid for the ones I'd use myself would cost me about £25 tops.
So I declined and opted for a normal current account.
Soon I will be able to escape from those nasty Barclays people!

You probably already know about the NatWest on-line banking site. If not I can personally recommend it as a good way of keeping track of your bank account. My son had the step account, and if I remember rightly, you only get 3 monthly statements which, for him, was a right pain as it was possible to go overdrawn and the charges were prohibitive if his account went into the red.
He also became very attuned to the SOLO Logo. If that's the card still used then going to a student area will give you biggest choice of outlets.
As an ex-Barclays victim myself I appreciate your need to escape from their clutches. To come to think of it remembering my escaping from them is my Happy Thought of the day.

My happy thought, just been shopping for meat at one of those butcher retail shops near me ( Bolam's for those that know it ) anywho, filled my 4 draw fridge / freezer to the brim, almost had to plug the standby freezer in the garage, some nice joints of beef and pork, chicken breasts, lamb, sausages, mincemeat, ribs, bacon, well you get the hint.
And all for £47

Used to use internet banking with HSBC, was so useful, especially keeping track of direct debits which needed cancelling because the service was no longer in use (stopping "accidental" billing taking place).
I can't believe the Barclays account takes so long to clear cheques, and has no internet banking.
I can't even use the statement machine in branches!
Can't wait to get a debit card again, I hate being reliant on cash. As ATM's are few and far between in this area, I end up taking out the max each time, and of course it sits there burning a hole in my pocket.

If it burns a hole in your pocket just be grateful that you are actually wearing underwear.

No, clean pair every day.
These have the slits/flaps in the right area.
