Congratulations, and very best wishes to all the Monkeys.
My minor-in-comparison happy thought is that I have tickets to see Wishbone Ash free on Saturday - guest list no less. Hmmm however, the day will set me back far too much in travel and accommodation........... but heck, it's a day out.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Just got myself a WRT54GS from PC World as they've been recommended here so many times, I plugged it in (ignoring the manual and the sticker saying "Use CD first") and it was up and running with Wireless Security in less than 2 minutes, very happy
A quick side-note, DD-WRT?

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Just achieved an amazing sync rate after a small amount of tweakage (Reduced target SNR by 2, which still leaves decent room for error, for those who know what i mean)
See attached for sync rate and d/l rate.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
Changed to Npower for my gas and electric end of october last year didnt get hit with the price rises early this year so my bill didnt go up. Got my first bill today in just over 6 months ive saved 75 quid hard cash and another 40 at the end of my first 12 months (80 quid credited for dual fuel online signup every 12 months) With Scottish power before left at the right time My monthly payment now is 65 quid a month instead of 88 with Scottish power so im guessing an over the year saving of 250 quid if ive worked out what I need to pay to cover it. I know I can soak up a 25% increase in price and still be better off than before

Just changed from them as they almost doubled my monthly DD (although they were cheaper than Scottish Power to start with, had I stayed with Scottish Power I would have been better off in the long run). Now with Atlantic.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread - Part 2
I'm a proud father My jade plant So chuffed
Had it years - the jade plant. Quite big now - more a mini-bush. I've always seen it as a challenge to water it without dislodging part of it - the slightest knock and a small piece drops off. Bit annoying. I've always chucked the bits in the bin. About a week ago, same thing happened - bit fell off. I had the kitchen door open and went to chuck it in the garden - thinking it might grow. It then dawned on me that possibly this is why the bits are falling off - to grow So I've got this bit of plant in my hand and need to pot it. Found a spare paper cup from when I took a week off work and went on day trips with my mate. Borrowed a bit of compost from the dragon palm in the living room, and potted the bit of jade plant. Watered it gently and waited. Not much was happening - still green though. Then the other day it started sprouting new leaves I got it a new, large pot and some compost. Just potted it now. I can't get over the roots it's formed - loads of them. Thin and delicate but definitely roots. In such a short space of time. So it's currently sat in a new pot - fingers crossed it will continue to grow. I usually kill green things. Dead chuffed with it.
