I've just installed Ubuntu on my laptop.

I also have Vista still on it...

I'm not liking the design, like.

This has just reminded my to look at the new update pack that arrioved.

Windows vista business, ultimate 32bit and ultimate 64bit. Hmm might upgrade my laptop.

On that note, MS are offering Office2007 for £38 if you have a ac.uk address (staff as well as students).

On a more personal note, my new toy arrived today, and it's now all set up, and I agree that V+ does upscale SD nicely - compared to the Freeview picture from the on-board tuner.

The ac.uk thing is a farce, most colleges i know will not grant you one, even though they have the power too.

My happy thought: My back is healing well, despite going back to work a few days ago.

The Uni I work at gives all their students an ac.uk address (all 50,000 of them - 30k full time and 20k part time).

Just relieved a load of stress by smashing my Kensington notebook lock up with a large hammer (after numerous occurrences of the combination mechanism malfunctioning)... that's better. BTW, never buy one of these things they are an utter waste of space and cash.

And in most cases, can be broken off whatever they are protecting... *whistles innocently*

My happy thought is, although i've been bent double over the loo for the past hour (some bad croatian food earlier me thinks) my workplace responded fast and responsibly about it. (I am amazed they got a guy here in under an hour to relieve me of my duties of work.
